Space And Geography!-James Humphrys: Earths distance!

Hi, this blog I have made is about me giving my personal opinion on how the earth can support life. So how does the earth support life? Can other planets do the same thing? What makes earths so special?

One of the biggest factors that I think that allows the earth to give life is its distance from the sun. The earth is very far away from the sun. We can not get to the sun with the technology we have today. According to Cool Cosmos the sun is 150 million km/  93,205,678 m away from the earth. This distance is massive and I personally think it would never be accomplished with what we have today. But I think in the future we can.

Because of its distance it makes it a inhabitable plant to live on, as the wild life has the correct temperature to survive in. In short I think the earth is not too far away from the sun and not too close. Because the earth is 150 million km away its temperatures insures that the  animals and plants have the correct temperature to survive.

The highest temperature ever recorded was 56 Celsius in the Libyan desert. The coldest however was -88 Celsius at Vostok station in Antarctica. Normally the temperature only goes up to 14 degrees. Humans can survive in extreme temperatures from 41 Celsius to -60 Celsius. Personally I think that we can't live in these temperatures as the results were done in the best clothing and gear and technology we have. I think humans would need a temperature at around twenty Celsius to survive in as it is not too hot or cold. I got most of this information on Atmos news.
